Community Acupuncture
Community Acupuncture at The Cape Cod Healing Space
Community acupuncture (sometimes called group acupuncture), is an affordable and effective way to receive an acupuncture treatment. Treatments last up to 45 minutes and occur in a large room with several patients in reclining chairs receiving acupuncture at the same time. There is no disrobing, but patients are asked to wear loose fitting clothing that can easily roll up to above the elbows and the knees. Each person will have some time to discuss with the acupuncturist what they would like to address during the session and will then have time to rest while others receive their treatment.
Acupuncture points frequently used in a community acupuncture treatment are located on the ear (auricular acupuncture), the scalp, and the hands and feet. These kinds of points can be helpful to treat a range of issues, such as stress, anxiety, and headaches.
A community acupuncture appointment can also be effective to treat body pain. With the exception of areas on the back of the body that are not accessible when reclining on a chair, it is possible to address pain at the top and sides of the neck, jaw, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles, and shoulders (requires sleeveless shirt or tank top). Areas of the body that can NOT be treated in a community acupuncture session include the low, mid, and upper back, front and back of the hips, abdomen, and chest.
Community acupuncture is walk-in only - you do not need to schedule a treatment in advance. Space is limited so please keep in mind that you may need to wait before being seated or before the practitioner is able to begin with you. If it is the day of the session and you would like to check to see if chairs will be available when you arrive, you can TEXT 508-514-1442 (please do not call).

Gray Courage Circle
Susan Pfeil is a retired educator, experienced group facilitator and kind-hearted grandmother. With a deep belief in the power of shared stories and community, she created Gray Courage to offer women a safe and resourceful space to explore the challenges and opportunities of aging. Susan brings compassion, curiosity, and wisdom to every circle, guiding conversations that inspire connection, courage, and growth. Her work is rooted in the conviction that all stages of life hold the potential for purpose, transformation, and renewal.
Workshop Description:
The Gray Courage Introductory Workshop is designed to create a supportive circle for women navigating the challenges of aging. We believe that elderhood can become a more vibrant and meaningful time of life when we have a safe space to share our fears, wisdom, inspiration and resources. Through open-hearted conversation, connection and a little fun, the Gray Courage Circle offers an opportunity for women to be seen, heard, supported and empowered. Together, we'll explore what it means to keep evolving and live courageously in today's world. One step at a time.
“Aging is out of your control. How you handle it, though, is in your hands.” Diane Von Furstenberg
